In my K-12 experience as a student in public schools, I feel like I had significant exposure to Microsoft Word. I have been using Microsoft programs for projects in school since elementary school. Microsoft Word was typically the default program used when writing essays, projects, etc. Since coming to FSU, I have continued to use Microsoft word as well as Google Docs depending on the application. When doing group work, I typically use Google Docs because it is so easy to share. However for personal work and writing I usually use Microsoft Word. I also had to take a computer fluency class at FSU, which taught me how to use some tools and functions on Word that I didn't previously know about. Overall, I would say I prefer Microsoft Word because I know how to use it better than other programs.  The standard that was the most meaningful to me was the Leader standard.  In this class I am very excited to learn how I can use technology when working with kids. Whether that be in a teacher/classroom setting, as a babysitter, or as a mom, I am excited to learn how technology can aid in teaching kids. I think I will apply this knowledge both in my personal life and in my professional life. I plan on working with kids for speech therapy, and believe this class could help give me some unique teaching tools.  I don't have much prior experience with teaching with technology. Whenever I have been in a "teaching" setting, I have not had much technology to work with. When I nanny once a week, the kids are very strictly no screens, so I haven't had much time to work with technology while teaching or working with kids.
