Blog Journal 4

So far, I do enjoy blogging. I think this could be a great tool when it comes to communicating with my students as well as their parents. I like how easy it is to send out a blog post, Blogger is super user friendly and straightforward for both the creator and the viewer. So far, I have learned how to upload images, post blogs with pictures/content, and change the theme of the blog for my viewers.

A Web 2.0 tool that I think is very helpful for educators is YouTube. I think YouTube is a very education tool when used correctly. It is a great place for teachers to collaborate and share their ideas for other teachers. I also think it is a great tool because it can be a place for students to collaborate and find inspiration. I remember often watching educational YouTube videos throughout high school to help me study/learn, and I would also use it to upload group projects and presentations.

My initial experiences with generative AI were good. I have used it in the past, however, never have used it to generate photos for a meme. I did notice I had to be much more specific when generating photos than with other things like lesson plans and text. I think this is a great tool for educators to find ideas and build off of things generative AI might provide.

In my teaching practice, I could see myself using generative AI for lesson plans, activities, and even inspiration for decorating my room. AI can also be used to generate ideas on resources/content ideas for class. I think there are some ethical concerns with AI. One of them being it could be dangerous for teachers to rely too heavily on it, when it might provide incorrect information that isn't accurate.
