     So far, I do enjoy blogging. I think this could be a great tool when it comes to communicating with my students as well as their parents. I like how easy it is to send out a blog post, Blogger is super user friendly and straightforward for both the creator and the viewer. So far, I have learned how to upload images, post blogs with pictures/content, and change the theme of the blog for my viewers.     A Web 2.0 tool that I think is very helpful for educators is YouTube. I think YouTube is a very education tool when used correctly. It is a great place for teachers to collaborate and share their ideas for other teachers. I also think it is a great tool because it can be a place for students to collaborate and find inspiration.      The standard I chose was found under the Computer Science standards for grade 5. The specific standard was to “demonstrate ways to avoid misuse of information.” I think to me, this means teaching students the necessary tools needed to fact check their sources that they use on the internet. I think I am prepared to implement this standard, because throughout college I have learned how to double check my sources, and cite trustworthy sources in order to make sure I am using correct information.       I think these resources on CPALMS can be used in my teaching because there is a wide range of resources, from assessment and testing, to educational games and tools. These resources are helpful because they give me checkmarks and an idea of how my students are doing according to the state requirements for their age and subject. In my K-12 experience as a student in public schools, I feel like I had significant exposure to Microsoft Word. I have been using Microsoft programs for projects in school since elementary school. Microsoft Word was typically the default program used when writing essays, projects, etc. Since coming to FSU, I have continued to use Microsoft word as well as Google Docs depending on the application. When doing group work, I typically use Google Docs because it is so easy to share. However for personal work and writing I usually use Microsoft Word. I also had to take a computer fluency class at FSU, which taught me how to use some tools and functions on Word that I didn't previously know about.  In this class I am very excited to learn how I can use technology when working with kids. Whether that be in a teacher/classroom setting, as a babysitter, or as a mom, I am excited to learn how technology can aid in teaching kids. I think I will apply this knowledge both in my personal life and in my professional life. I plan on working with kids for speech therapy, and believe this class could help give me some unique teaching tools.  I don't have much prior experience with teaching with technology. Whenever I have been in a "teaching" setting, I have not had much technology to work with. When I nanny once a week, the kids are very strictly no screens, so I haven't had much time to work with technology while teaching or working with kids.
